Liverpool has successfully rejuvenated its midfielders by bringing Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai to Anfield. Although The Athletic’s James Pearce reports that the club is reluctant to strengthen further, it seems that they may move for a defensive midfielder.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sport Germany noted that Liverpool are in talks with Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, and that manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on signing him.
It also appears that no agreement has yet been reached on the terms of a personal contract.

Liverpool, who are not willing to pay the £50m demanded by Southampton, are said to be willing to allow up to £40m and will need to negotiate with Southampton if they are to make a concrete move for the player.
No agreement has been reached with the players yet, and it is not clear whether they will be serious about further reinforcements.
However, it seems that only steady preparations are being made, but is there a future for him to transfer his activities from Southampton to Liverpool…?
