Liverpool have succeeded in significantly reshuffling their midfielders with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai in the team. It was thought that they would go into the new season as they were, but the Saudi Arabian range network, which has acquired a number of players this summer, reached Merseyside.
Thiago Alcantara rejected an offer from the Middle East, and Fabinho, after agreeing to a personal contract, is still preparing for a move in Liverpool without even attending a training camp in Germany, as talks between the clubs are well underway.
Jordan Henderson is a little more complicated, having rejected the first offer, but unable to turn down a huge offer, he decided to make the move. However, the English midfielder went to Germany without any movement from the players’ side of the agreement, as Al-Etifaq was looking for a transfer-free deal.
However, it seems that there has finally been some movement on that transfer. Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, shared an update on his social media, saying that the clubs have reached a basic agreement over the transfer fee and that he is close to joining the Middle Eastern club.
“Liverpool and Al Ettifaq just reached an agreement in principle on fee for Jordan Henderson — here we go!”
“Henderson already agreed three year deal last week, documents to be checked then time to sign and move to Saudi.”
“Steven Gerrard, waiting for JH.”

The transfer fee was not £20m as initially rumored, but rather £12 m plus add-ons, which seems to have been settled.
The former Sunderland midfielder, who has played for Liverpool since 2011 and inherited the captain’s mark from Steven Gerrard, is on the verge of leaving Anfield.
Although it has not yet been officially announced, it seems almost certain to assume that it is a done deal. Even if he moves to Saudi Arabia, he will continue to lead the team with his strong leadership skills, standing between the players and Gerrard and leading the club to the top of the table.
