Brazilian midfielder Fabinho was sluggish in the first half of last season. Stefan Bajcetic’s performance inspired him to come back to his best. His reading of the ball was restored, and towards the end of the season, he once again became an indispensable player for the team.
Just as he was expected to be a regular in the new season, he was suddenly linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, where his old friend Roberto Firmino had also decided to move. After agreeing to a personal deal, Liverpool received a formal offer from Al-Ittehad and moved on to the final stage of the transfer process.
However, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Bayern Munich is keeping a close eye on the player and may move for him if transfer talks end in a breakdown.

At this point, a move to Saudi Arabia is a realistic option, but there is still the issue of his dog and other problems to be resolved. He is staying in England for the transfer instead of attending the training camp being held in Germany, and a move to Al-Ittihad is imminent.
While a move to Bayern is unlikely, will he, contrary to expectations, seek a new home in Germany…?
