With Fabinho closing in on a move to Saudi Arabia, Liverpool are interested in Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and have presented a second offer.

The amount is not equal to the asking price, and with Chelsea increasingly likely to intervene, it may cost £50 million, as expected.

The Belgian midfielder is the main contender, but various other midfield names have been floated, including Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucouré and Aston Villa midfielder Boubacar Camara. And a new player is making the media rounds.

According to Sport Witness, several Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, are interested in Brazilian midfielder Andre Trindade, who is a member of Fluminense, with a transfer fee of €20 million set.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who is under contract until 2026, has made over 140 appearances for the club, playing as a defensive midfielder and central midfielder. He is a mainstay of the team, and it is no surprise that he is receiving heat from Europe.

However, he is not a strong physical type of player for Liverpool, which is looking for physical strength, so he is not likely to be on the list of candidates. Also, he has no experience playing in Europe, let alone in the Premier League, so it is difficult to treat him as an immediate asset.

Nevertheless, he has made his debut for the Brazilian national team, and his ability continues to grow within the country. He can also set up attacks from the back of midfield with his passing, and he can also link up with the opposition and crush them. His style of play is similar to that of Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães.

Will the 22-year-old midfielder, who is making great strides in Brazil, get a European challenge, if not at Anfield?
