One of Klopp's most valued players... Negotiations over Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia remain stalled Transfers

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, players who had been at the bottom of the midfield until last season, left for Saudi Arabia one after another.

The club, which was short of defensive midfielders, had been working to acquire Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia, but suddenly made a move for Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo and reached an inter-club agreement with Brighton.

However, the player refused to play at Anfield. The transfer drama has taken a turn for the worse, and as initially expected, a move to Chelsea is on the way. Liverpool is looking for at least one player who can play at the bottom of midfield, and it seems that they are once again serious about securing Lavia.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, a Belgian journalist, Southampton and Chelsea have agreed on a fee, but depending on Liverpool’s offer, the game is not over yet, as the Belgian midfielder wants to move to Anfield.

“Liverpool on the battle again with Chelsea for Romeo Lavia as they want to level up their offer to Chelsea bid offered (and accepted but up to player’s decision that why ‘’not officially communicated as accepted’) in order to let the choice to the player to decide. And his mind hasn’t till changed… It’s not over for Liverpool, back in the race. Confirmed.”
