Liverpool’s search for replacements for Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, and others who can play at the bottom of midfield is back to square one with the loss of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo and Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia to Chelsea.

Once again, the media and journalists have begun to report on targets, and new names have surfaced along with the original targets of Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone. Ivory Coast midfielder Ibrahim Sangare has been mentioned as one of the candidates, followed by the France-based midfielder.

According to MailSport, Liverpool are interested in Lille’s Cameroonian midfielder Carlos Baleba, and may be competing with Brighton, who are also interested.

The Cameroonian midfielder made 19 appearances in the Ligue 1 last season after being promoted from the academy to the first team last summer.

Although he has not yet earned a regular place in the team, his impressive performances and his young age have earned him a growing reputation among European clubs.

He has the athleticism of an African player, and his dynamic and precise footwork allows him to pass and dribble the ball forward. He is also very strong and has great potential, but it is true that he lacks experience, much like Stefan Bajcetic.

Liverpool’s need for a starter may not be enough to justify the signing of a young, unknown talent. As for teenagers, James McConnell has been impressive in pre-season and may not need to be brought into the team at this point.

However, the number of players is absolutely necessary, and it would be an appropriate choice to secure a player who can anchor the team.

Will the future Cameroonian international midfielder be looking for a place at Anfield?
