Productive discussions with Bayern Munich...Acquisition of Ryan Gravenberch moves forward Transfers

Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Wataru Endo… Liverpool acquired three midfielders. However, seven senior players, including James Milner, Jordan Henderson, and Fabinho, left the club, and the club was looking to further strengthen its midfield and was working on reinforcements until just before the transfer deadline.

Liverpool, who had been linked with various players including Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucouré and Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, narrowed their sights on Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch and have been in negotiations with the German champions.

According to The Athletic, the two clubs have agreed on a deal for the Dutch midfielder for a fee of €40 million. 21-year-old midfielder will soon travel to England to undergo medical before officially joining Liverpool. He will sign a five-year contract until 2028.

He joined Bayern from Ajax in the transfer market last summer. However, he was frustrated with his lack of opportunities under former coach Julian Nagelsmann and current coach Thomas Tuchel, and wanted to move to Liverpool, a club he had shown interest in since his days in Holland.

Jurgen Klopp was looking for a player who could play as an anchor man or an inside half, rather than a player who could only play at the bottom of midfield. From this point of view, the Dutch midfielder, with his high potential and experience in the Champions League and Europa League, would be an ideal addition.

At Anfield, in addition to the newly recruited midfielder, competition awaits the likes of Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones, and Stefan Bajcetic. Although he will not be an unconditional regular, he will change his mind from his days in the Bundesliga and will strive to secure a position.
