Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde regrets refusing to move to the Premier League, including Liverpool Transfers

Liverpool’s efforts to revamp their midfielder lineup resulted in the acquisition of four players, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch, and a much younger average age.

In the process of acquiring them, numerous midfielders’ names were reported in the media, and some of them, like Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, were offered but chose other clubs. True or false, Uruguayan midfielder Federico Valverde was one of them.

According to Nacional, the 25-year-old midfielder, who had attracted the attention of Manchester United and Chelsea in addition to Liverpool, half regrets that he turned down interest from the Premier League because he was no longer in an absolute position in the team, partly due to the arrival of Jude Bellingham.

The English midfielder has had the best start to the La Liga season, scoring five goals in four games, but in contrast, he started the first three games but did not score or assist, and in the fourth game he was forced to make an early appearance, leaving him in a fierce positional battle.

For Real Madrid, however, the Uruguayan midfielder is an important member of the team and is undeniably the next generation of midfielders to replace veterans such as Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

For Liverpool, the new players have been dynamic from the start of the season, and if they had failed to acquire Federico Valverde under the radar, they would have no regrets at all. The same could be said for Manchester United and Chelsea.

There has been no statement from the players’ side, only gossip papers reporting the story. It could be true, but it’s just something to read and enjoy.
