Liverpool has been working to sign Bruno Guimarães in the last two transfer windows Transfers

Last summer, Liverpool acquired former Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo from Juventus as the deadline approached, but he barely made any first-team appearances and his buyout option was never exercised, so he returned to Italy.

Liverpool then made a serious move for a midfielder in the summer transfer window, bringing in Argentine midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who has proven himself at Brighton, and 22-year-old Dominik Szoboszlai, who is also captain of the Hungarian national team.

Liverpool, who were unsuccessful in their attempts to land these players, but were linked with interest in various midfielders in addition to Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. The Telegraph reported that Liverpool had been trying to sign Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimarães during the January and summer transfer windows this year.

It is said that Liverpool made an offer of £100 million from the Spanish end, but the northern English club rejected the offer. Although his credibility is questionable, it is no surprise that the 25-year-old midfielder, who is an experienced defensive midfielder in the Premier League and at the national level, is considered an ideal target.

However, in addition to Japan midfielder Wataru Endo, the club also acquired Netherlands U-21 midfielder Ryan Gravenberch on the last day of the season, which has made this position a much lower priority.

Other players such as Mac Allister are also available to play, and the priority at the moment has shifted to new center backs and Mohamed Salah’s successor.

Whether or not Liverpool has made a move for the Brazilian midfielder in the last two transfer windows remains to be seen, but it seems unlikely that they will turn their attention to him again in the future.
