Liverpool exercises "due diligence" on PSV Eindhoven FW Johan Bakayoko Transfers

Saudi Arabia’s continued interest in Egyptian international Mohamed Salah. Al-Ittihad is said to be preparing a huge offer in the transfer market next January and next summer, and it is highly likely that Liverpool will release the striker, who will be 32 years old in June 2024, in order to replace a generation of right wingers.

What Liverpool will have to solve in the past year is to find a replacement for Egyptian King. It will not be easy to find one, but they are looking at up-and-coming Eredivisie winger in addition to players who have been mentioned as candidates in the past, such as West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool is conducting “due diligence” on Belgian international Johan Bakayoko, who plays for PSV Eindhoven, to investigate not only his play but also his character and reputation in detail.

The 20-year-old winger, who was promoted to the first team in 2022, scored five goals and five assists in 23 domestic league games last season. He plays opposite flanks with his exceptional athleticism and dribbling ability, and he can also cut in and shoot with his left-handed side.

He also made his debut for the Belgian national team in March 2023, and has been on the pitch in five games so far. He still lacks first-team experience and has a lot of rough edges. If we were to make a real move to acquire him, we would be buying into his potential to explode.

If he were to be substituted immediately, Bowen, who also has experience with the England national team, would be ideal. However, a successor to a striker who competes for the top scorer in the Premier League every season requires a high level of ability and the ability to handle tremendous pressure.

After successfully revamping their midfield, can Liverpool upgrade from Mohamed Salah, the last piece of their front three?
