Liverpool’s aim for a generational change in the midfield during this summer’s transfer window has attracted interest from a variety of midfielders from around the world.
The French national team U-21 duo of Khéphren Thuram and Manu Koné were at the center of the conversation and were reportedly close to joining the club.
As a result, both players ended up staying with the club. While Juventus is reportedly eyeing Khéphren Thuram, Bayern Munich has approached Manu Koné, and Liverpool has not made a move for him, according to Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
“News Manu Koné: His contract automatically extended until 2026. It wasn’t a surprise because this clause was negotiated in 2021. “
“Despite the extension: Koné is allowed to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach in the winter. Price tag: €40-45 million.”
“He intends to take the next step at the latest in the summer. He’s on Bayern’s list. Liverpool is currently not a topic. No talks/negotiations with Liverpool”

Liverpool is said to be obsessed with Fluminense midfielder Andre and is expected to make a move for him as early as this winter.
The club’s president said that the club had been trying to acquire the midfielder in the summer transfer market, but he did not even agree to negotiations because of the Copa Libertadores.
The Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder could have been part of Liverpool’s midfield renewal, but his departure will be closely watched.
