With Jurgen Klopp’s announcement that he will retire at the end of the season, the search for a successor has been accelerated. While Xabi Alonso is being discussed as the most likely candidate, the names of various young directors who have proven themselves in Europe are being tossed around.

In addition to the Spanish coach, Ben Jacobs reported that he may interview four other coaches, including Robert de Zerbi, who leads Brighton, Julian Nagelsmann, who is in charge of the German national team, and Ruben Amorim.

“Liverpool will do their due diligence and interview a variety of candidates. They will have a thorough process and won’t rush it. I would expect to see Alonso, De Zerbi and Nagelsmann on their interview list. They could even potentially interview Amorim.”

The German captain has won numerous trophies at Anfield and has a menacing record of success. He has a tremendous amount of love from the supporters, and his ability to involve everyone around him, including players, coaches, and staff, has led to many accomplishments both on and off the pitch.

His successor will be highly qualified and will be under incredible pressure. All of the candidates are still in their developmental stages and have different backgrounds and accomplishments from Klopp’s when he first took over.

However, all of the coaches have been able to bring out the potential of young players and integrate them into the first team. They are also excellent tactically and have the talent to become their successors.

It will be a long time before a contract is actually signed, but who will lead the charge at Anfield next season?
