Former England midfielder Steven Gerrard was at the heart of Liverpool for more than a decade before moving to the Los Angeles Galaxy in the summer of 2015, establishing himself as a legend of the club since his current time.
Since becoming a leader, he has had a phenomenal record in Scotland, but has failed in the Premier League and is currently struggling in Saudi Arabia.
Nevertheless, he was one of the top five players in the world when he was a player, and his dynamic style of play attracted a lot of people.
One such player is Danish midfielder Jesper Lindstrøm, who moved from Frankfurt to Napoli last summer. Lindstrøm has said that he has admired Gerrard’s play since he was a child and that he was his one and only idol.
“When I was little, I admired Gerrard from Liverpool a lot,”
“Because I was a Liverpool fan. Now, he’s stopped playing and I don’t have a real idol. “
“I only think about myself and the team. I just want to play football.”

The attacking midfielder has been said to have been of interest to Liverpool since his days in the Bundesliga. In fact, the player himself has admitted that he has been approached, and there was a world line that landed him in the same stadium as his idol, Gerrard.
Fearing for his playing time at Anfield, the Danish midfielder decided to move to Italy. However, he lost the battle for the starting lineup at Napoli, making only two first-team appearances, once in the domestic league and once in a cup game. The future is not as he had envisioned.
Still only 24 years old, there is a possibility that he could turn into a starter in his second year with the club.
Can the former Bröndby midfielder make a name for himself, make his mark in Serie A, and rekindle Liverpool’s interest in him?
