The search for Liverpool’s next coach entered a new phase when Xabi Alonso decided to stay at Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern Munich was also a major contender, so two powerful clubs changed targets at once.
For Liverpool, Ruben Amorim, who is gaining recognition at Sporting, is the next leading candidate. While an interview with the coach is also reportedly in the works, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Barcelona and Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on the situation.
“Rúben Amorim, he’s definitely a candidate for Liverpool in summer”
“At FC Barcelona, he is also highly regarded. Chelsea is monitoring him, should things not progress further with Pochettino in summe”
“Amorim favors a 3-4-2-1 system with two attacking midfielders who move freely between the lines. Pedro Goncalves and Edwards, are essential for Amorim”
“Similar to Leverkusen and Inter Milan, there are often five players in the forward line as passing options, providing tremendous width in the attacking play (3-2-5).”
“Been told his release clause is said to be €10m in summer”

Amorim is highly regarded in all aspects, including the development of young players and his achievements in Portugal. He is an ideal candidate for Liverpool, which considers club management from a long-term perspective.
However, with Robert de Zerbi and other names also being mentioned, it will be some time before a definite decision is made.
Who will be appointed as the successor of the great German coach?
