England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has now developed into a world-class right-back under Jurgen Klopp.His new season, in which he was appointed vice-captain, has been productive, winning the Carabao Cup and being involved in the Premier League title race.

“It was a tough time, it was one that taught me to be patient and a time that was difficult. It’s never nice for any player to be injured but it just makes you stronger, appreciate the times when you’re fit and able to play games.”

During the period when the England defender was out, young 20-year-old defender Conor Bradley played a major role and quickly developed into a regular player.
