Born in Castlederg, Northern Ireland, 20-year-old defender Conor Bradley spent a year on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season, where he responded to his appointment with a superb performance, and was given the role of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s understudy this season.

However, injuries meant he spent the first half of the season barely seeing any time on the pitch.

Nevertheless, he was gradually given a chance at the end of the year and played at a high level as a right-back. Not only in defence, but also in attack, he took up high positions and kept the pressure on the opposition defenders.

He scored his first goal for Liverpool against Chelsea at Anfield, a moment he will never forget.

Although he showed some fatigue afterwards, he finished the season with high hopes for next season and should be a valuable member of the team under new manager Arne Slott, who will use him in many games.

Liverpool officials are not the only ones who believe in the talent of the Northern Ireland defender, who has represented the club since he was a teenager, with Huddersfield Town defender Brodie Spencer saying he could be one of the best players in the world and expressing his joy at playing with him.

“Conor Bradley is going to go on to be one of the best players in the world,”

“The season he has had, he’s been absolutely unbelievable and to be able to play alongside him is so good.”

“It’s such a relief for me playing at centre back and just having him beside me,”

“He’s always there and supporting and he is able to get out of difficult situations, score goals and make things happen in attack. It’s great to be playing with him.”
