You have to know when to let go...Former Liverpool defender on the timing of Mohamed Salah's sale Transfers

Since joining from AS Roma, Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has been involved in the scoring race every season in the Premier League and has scored numerous goals at Anfield.

In recent years, his dribbling past opposing defenders has been overshadowed, but he has not given up his ace status for his decision-making and chance-making in front of goal.

However, the Egyptian King is not eternal and Liverpool must find a successor. The list includes young wingers who have made their mark around Europe, and the scouting team is investigating.

Spanish defender Jose Enrique, who played for Liverpool during his time at the club, has weighed in on the issue.

While saying that the timing of the sale of the former Roma forward has to be assessed, he also argued that the player would be open to a move away from Liverpool.

“Mohamed Salah isn’t quite the player he was three years ago. He doesn’t take on defenders as much, though he’s still a phenomenal goal-scoring machine. If I were Liverpool, and the right offer came in – say, over £100 million – I’d seriously consider it.”

“A move to Saudi Arabia could easily fetch that kind of money. I know Liverpool fans might not agree with me – they love Salah and want all their top players to stay – but sometimes, you have to know when to let go.”

“For instance, I’d renew Virgil van Dijk’s contract without hesitation, but with Salah, there’s the Saudi option, and he could become an even bigger star out there than Cristiano Ronaldo. Last year, there were offers from Saudi Arabia for Salah.”

“We all know that when an offer is made, personal terms have likely been agreed upon, so it’s clear he’s is open to the idea of moving on from Liverpool.”
