Leeds United’s bid for promotion to the Premier League has been undermined by a play-off defeat to Southampton, forcing them to fight it out in the Championship next season.
The club, which has a number of financial concerns, has been forced to release its main players and has sold young hope, 18-year-old midfielder Archie Gray, to Tottenham Hotspur.
Similarly linked with a move is Dutch U-21 international forward Crysencio Summerville. Liverpool, Chelsea, Fulham and Brighton have all expressed interest in the 22-year-old winger, who scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists in 49 league and cup games last season.
According to De Telegraaf, in addition to the Premier League sides, Paris Saint-Germain have also joined the fray, with France international Kylian Mbappe set to leave the club, and are looking to acquire him in this summer’s transfer market.
The French capital club, who are also said to be interested in 27-year-old forward Luis Diaz, who plays for Liverpool and is also a big-time player for Colombia, are looking for attackers who can carry the next generation after Neymar and Lionel Messi have also left in recent years, in addition to Mbappe.
Meanwhile, for Liverpool, unless one of Diaz, Cody Gakpo or Diogo Jota leaves, they have enough left wingers. Like them, the acquisition of a Dutch winger who mainly plays on the left wing is not a supreme priority.
Instead, the priority is to secure a left-handed right winger to replace Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, and the majority of the limited budget will go towards this.
Which club will the young Leeds United forward, who has often been rumoured to be in the running, choose for his new home?
