Former England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain made his mark at Southampton as a teenager, before moving to Arsenal. After making 198 appearances as a winger, he sought a new home at Liverpool in 2017, looking to play in midfield.
He made a total of 146 appearances on the pitch at Anfield, scoring 18 goals and providing 15 assists, but repeated injuries prevented him from making any significant impact after his first season with the club.
After his contract expired with Liverpool, the former Southampton midfielder moved to Beşiktaş JK.
However, he also struggled with injuries in Turkey and made 20 appearances for Süper Lig, but half of them were midway through the season and he was unable to establish himself as a regular.
According to Takvim, Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder and his scouting team, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have the former England midfielder on their list and could make a move for him this summer.
If he does move to Sheffield United, he will be competing in the Championship, but will the player leave Turkey after just a one-year stay…?
