Jurgen Klopp has left his position at the helm at Anfield after nine years with the club.The new man in his place is Arne Slot, who took over at Feyenoord.
He is taking part in his first pre-season at Liverpool ahead of a new challenge in the Premier League.
Young players around the age of 20, including Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones, were among the youngsters, with Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas, who missed out on EURO 2024, also taking part from day one.
Egyptian international Mohamed Salah and Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo, who have no competition this summer, joined the squad late.
The 28-year-old left-back, who is receiving a variety of coaching on the training ground in his first job with the Dutch coach, spoke of his feeling with the new head coach, who has been in charge of AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord in the Eredivisie, and revealed he is looking forward to training more and seeing what he can express on the pitch.
