Liverpool’s quest for a technically gifted defensive midfielder has narrowed its sights on Real Sociedad’s Spanish midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and the club has stepped up its offensive in a bid to seal a move before the new season.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who has turned down offers from powerhouse clubs such as Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the past, is more likely to move than ever before, with a €60 million release clause in his contract, according to Mail Sport, It seems that a retention operation is being carried out, led by manager Imanol Alguacil.
