Former Fulham midfielder Fabio Carvalho spent the first half of last season with RB Leipzig and then enjoyed a second half of the season with Hull City, scoring nine goals in 20 games.
He was looking to make his mark in the Liverpool first team again, scoring goals against Arsenal and Manchester United in pre-season, but failed to impress new manager Arne Slot.
Southampton, who won promotion to the Premier League last season, targeted the 21-year-old attacking midfielder for £15 million, while Leicester City, who are also playing in the Premier League this season, also showed interest, but Brentford won the deal for him.
Fabrizio Romano, an expert on the transfer market, reported that Liverpool have agreed to sell him for an add-on of £7.5 million, in addition to a £20 million transfer fee.
The deal also includes a 17.5% sell-on clause, which has also been agreed between Brentford and the player, according to the report.

The young Portuguese midfielder struggled in an unfamiliar position as a left winger under Jurgen Klopp. Under the Dutch manager, he played more inside and was thought to be on his way to the first team.
He has proven his ability in the Championship, including during his time at Fulham. With his new club, will he be able to show that he is good enough for the Premier League?
