The race for Liverpool’s 22-year-old defender Owen Beck could be a mixed bag. Queens Park Rangers and Leeds United have been targeting a loan move, with QPR leading the way at the moment.
However, it is increasingly likely that Celtic will shift gears in their quest for a complete transfer.
According to Football Insider, after securing Adam Idah from Norwich City, the Scottish club are now set to make a serious move for the Liverpool left-back, who has been of interest for some time.
The Welsh defender, who was very successful for Dundee last season, has already proven his ability in the Scottish Premiership. The player himself is used to playing in the league, which could be an advantage for Celtic.
Liverpool are said to be open to a release on either a permanent or loan move, but a permanent deal would need to be attractive enough to convince the Reds.
