In preparation for the future departure of Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Liverpool have targeted 23-year-old Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili in a move that could see him leave the club.
The two clubs are continuing negotiations and an agreement is getting closer by the minute.
However, the Georgian defender has balked at an initially rumoured loan move to Bournemouth, with the international media outlet Geo Team reporting that he is likely to remain at Valencia for the season in the form of a loan back following his move to Liverpool.
