Liverpool’s young talents, such as 17-year-old midfielder Trey Nyoni, were also active in pre-season.Although they have sold young players with a promising future, such as Fabio Carvalho, Sepp van den Berg and Bobby Clark, they have no intention of slowing down in strengthening their academy.
Liverpool are close to acquiring 15-year-old foward Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea. Wolverhampton Wanderers were also interested in 16-year-old defender Alvin Ayman, a young England prospect, but Fabrizio Romano reported that the move was completed.
“Liverpool have completed deal for 16-year-old talent Alvin Ayman to join the Academy from Wolves.”
“5 year deal, £2m compensation fee and Premier League’s 5 step approval now completed.”

The young centre-back, who also has Egyptian roots, showed his potential in the Wolves academy. He made nine appearances through the U18 Premier League and Premier League 2 last season and proved to be an extraordinary talent.
As a defender who needs to develop physically more than midfielders and attackers, he is unlikely to be immediately attached to the first team like Nyoni, but in a few years he should be a threat to the likes of Jarell Quansah and Ibrahima Konate.
