The departure of former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been hectic. With the European transfer deadline ticking away, several Premier League clubs have expressed interest.
The former England midfielder signed a three-year deal with Turkish side Beşiktaş JK last summer after his contract at Anfield expired. He had a lengthy spell away from Liverpool, where he was unable to break his injury habit.
Although he made 20 appearances for the team in the Supel Lig last season, scoring four goals, Beşiktaş were keen to let him go in the summer transfer window and offers are believed to have been on the table.
According to Turkish outlet Sports Digitale, Ajax from the Netherlands and Brentford from England are serious about acquiring the former England midfielder.
The English clubs, led by Thomas Frank, are plotting to bring the former Liverpool veteran midfielder back to the Premier League. If the move goes through, he would become the third Liverpool-linked player to join the club after Fabio Carvalho and Sepp van den Berg.
Dutch powerhouse Ajax are also said to be competing with Brentford for Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer. Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson is also on the books.
Both clubs have already spoken to the 31-year-old midfielder, and things could move forward in the few remaining.
