Although Barcelona is facing financial difficulties and a number of youngsters are being used in the first team, there is no shortage of media reporting interest in world-class players. Most of them seem unobtainable due to transfer fees and salaries, but one new name after another has surfaced.

Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is one such player, who is believed to be listed as the long-term successor to 36-year-old Poland international Robert Lewandowski, and is preparing a huge offer for his entire body of work.

According to The Sun, the Spanish club are keen on Newcastle United frontman Alexander Isak and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, in case they fail to land the Norwegian striker.

The Swedish forward, who joined Newcastle from Real Sociedad for a club record fee, has continued to prove his mettle in the Premier League with 36 goals in 73 appearances. PSR (Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Regulations), a sale was discussed in the summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old Uruguayan striker has not shown his scoring ability at Anfield in his time in Portugal. Nevertheless, he scored 18 goals and provided 13 assists last season, and although his figures have risen year on year, he has not been able to secure a regular place in the Arne Slot system.

Erling Haaland will also require a large sum of money, but there will also be big money involved in acquiring Isak and Nunez. To secure them, Barcelona will have to release key players, but will they be able to acquire a top-level striker from the Premier League…?
