Alisson has a contract with Liverpool until June 2027 and the player himself has stated that he will fulfil his contract and is unlikely to leave in the near future. Meanwhile, a replacement for the veteran goalkeeper has been secured, with Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili officially playing at Anfield from next season.
Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is likely to leave the club and is expected to battle it out with the goalkeeper currently on loan at Valencia. The Georgia goalkeeper said he is ready to compete for a starting place ahead of his time at Liverpool.
“I was attracted by Liverpool’s project when the club’s representatives met me to sign me. I will fight for the starting goalkeeper position even if the current goalkeeper does not leave the team.”
