Egypt international Mohamed Salah, Dutch defender Virgil Van Dijk and England defender Trent Alexander-Arnold all have contracts that expire in June 2025, and negotiations are ongoing with Liverpool to sign new contracts.
Both Salah and Van Dijk have been targeted by the big-spending Saudis, especially Egyptian King, who also received an offer last summer. Trent is being closely monitored in talks with Liverpool, with Real Madrid planning to secure him on a free transfer.
Despite the situation still being unpredictable, former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey is optimistic and has stated that he is confident that both players will remain at Anfield beyond next season.
“I’m still fairly confident that all three players will sign new contracts,”
“You look at all three players and you have Van Dijk who is an absolute rock at the back, Trent to step into midfield and control games with his passing and Mohamed Salah who is simply incredible and hugely consistent going forward.”
