Liverpool have some of the best forwards in the Premier League, including Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota. They have failed to renew the contract of Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, which expires at the end of the season, and may move to secure a new attacker next summer.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the club is continuously scouting Spanish U-21 international Raúl Moro, who plays for Real Valladolid, and it has been suggested that they could make a move for him in the transfer market next summer.
The young attacker, born in 2002, has a history with Espanyol and Barcelona. He failed to gain promotion to the first team in Spain, but played in the first team at Lazio, where he joined in 2019. He made a total of 20 appearances for the club.
He then spent time on loan, with Ternana and Real Oviedo. Last season he spent a year at Real Valladolid, where he scored two goals and provided five assists in 31 games. He showed high potential and joined the club on a full transfer this summer.
Despite his small stature, he uses his wiggly steps to toy with opposing defenders and opens up the scoring, mainly from the left wing. After 10 games this season, he has scored two goals and assisted one. As a young player, he has attracted the attention of scouts.
However, he does not fit Liverpool’s requirements. He lacks experience at the top level and is more of a side-splitting player than a scoring attacker, making it difficult for him to compete regularly with Diaz and Gakpo, let alone replace Egyptian King.
In a Premier League full of physical defenders, he also leaves a lot to be worried about in a clash. Even if scouting was underway at the moment, it is unlikely that Liverpool would be serious about it, but what do you think?
