Egyptian international Mohamed Salah is still in negotiations with Liverpool underwater. Although the Saudis continue to target opportunities to acquire him, Egyptian King, who is keen to continue playing in Europe, is said to want to stay at Anfield.

However, along with Virgil Van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, no new contracts have been signed and speculation is circulating daily. Meanwhile, the former Roma winger is already a veteran at 32, and the search for a medium- to long-term successor is in full swing.

One name that has been mentioned for some time is 25-year-old forward Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt.

The striker, who, like Salah, plays for the Egyptian national team, woke up in front of goal last season and has so far this season put up impressive figures with 10 goals and seven assists in 12 games.

German Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg revealed the transfer fee set by his club and that Liverpool are serious about him. He also said that if England approached him, a move would happen immediately.

“Eintracht Frankfurt are currently demanding a transfer fee of between €50-60m for Omar Marmoush.”

“Liverpool is indeed a serious option. The interest is real, and there has already been contact between the player’s camp and Liverpool. Eintracht Frankfurt are aware of it.”

“Marmoush dreams of a move to the Premier League and would immediately agree to join Liverpool.”
