Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sané has been frequently named as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah during the summer transfer window.
In addition to his explosive speed, he has shone in the Bundesliga with his effective attacks inside the opposition penalty area.
The winger has also scored 14 goals in 67 games for Germany, but his current contract expires at the end of the season.
His position in the new Bayern is in jeopardy and he is no longer an absolute player, so he is likely to leave the club next summer.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, referring to the German attacker’s departure, said that a move to Liverpool is unlikely at the moment. However, he also stated that the Munich club are not willing to renew his contract.
“Been told that rumors linking Leroy Sané with Liverpool are not hot at this stage.”
“Currently, there are no internal discussions or concrete plans regarding a Liverpool transfer for Sané this summer.”
“It remains possible that the 28y/o could leave Munich on a free transfer in the summer, as Bayern are not actively pursuing a contract extension at this stage.”

He is only 28 years old and it is unlikely that Liverpool would be interested in acquiring him.
His experience at Manchester City and familiarity with English football is appealing, but he looks past his prime as a player and is too much of a burden to entrust with Anfield’s future.
Only players in their early 20s would be targeted, and various players who fit that bill continue to emerge as candidates. Who will Liverpool pick to succeed Egyptian King?
