‘“It’s over for Liverpool’ Saudi journalist declares Mohamed Salah to join Al Hilal Transfers

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has been in talks with Liverpool since last year to sign a new contract, but no agreement has been reached as yet. He has frequently stated to the media that he wishes to remain at Anfield, but has now entered 2025.

While interest from Saudi Arabia has not waned, and Al Hilal, rumoured to be in negotiations with former Brazilian forward Neymar’s departure, was said to be in talks, reporter Khalid Qinan of the Saudi newspaper Okaz made the unlikely claim.

According to the reporter, Egyptian King is on the verge of going to Al Hilal and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has said he will join the same club.

He also said that he is expected to receive a salary comparable to Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

“Mohamed Salah is on the verge of representing Al Hilal if it’s not already over,”

“Salah will not be the only one joining Al Hilal; his Dutch teammate Virgil van Dijk has also agreed to join the club.”

“Salah will sign a long-term contract and talks began long ago, with Al Hilal being the first Saudi team to negotiate with him.”

“Having an additional period for transfers before the Club World Cup helped Al Hilal a lot in Mohamed Salah’s transfer file.”

“Mohamed Salah will receive at least as much as Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar if not more.”

“There are preliminary agreements between Salah and Al Hilal, but final agreements have yet to be reached, which may happen shortly.”

“It’s over for Liverpool,”

A frustrating time continues for Liverpool supporters. Not only Salah, but also the Dutch captain is reported to have made it a priority to remain at Anfield, and it is unlikely that both veterans will decide to go to Saudi Arabia at this stage.

There is still time left and we would like to believe that terms can be agreed.

It would be a major blow for Slot to let go of his main man without a transfer fee, and we will be keeping a close eye on Liverpool’s future moves, as well as those of the Saudi Professional League.
