Liverpool are looking for an attacker to replace Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, who turns 33 this June, on Liverpool’s right wing. The veteran winger is a veteran winger of a different level in terms of goals and assists, and there are high expectations for his successor.
A wide variety of wingers have been in the media since last summer, with proven Premier League players such as Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo and Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo being discussed as candidates.
According to Africa Foot, Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa, who plays for Arne Slott’s old club, has shown interest, and Barry Hunter, head of scouting at Liverpool, has made contact with his agent and others.
This is the first season the young 22-year-old winger, who joined last summer from Patro Aisden Maasmechelen, has played in the Netherlands. He has no experience of playing under Slot, but the contact with his old club could be an advantage for his acquisition.
He has made three appearances for Algeria and has six goals and two assists in 22 games through Eredivisie and the Champions League. He has also scored against Manchester City and RB Leipzig and has started to emerge as an up-and-coming young player.
The newspaper also reports that an attempt is being made to sign him for €12 million and, like Egyptian King, the left-footed right winger could be on his way to Anfield next summer.
