Fulham defender Antonee Robinson is Liverpool's leading candidate to secure a left-back Transfers

The average age of Liverpool’s left-backs in Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas is increasing. The former has entered his thirties and has had some games where his performances have declined, while the latter has not shown enough to regain his regular place.

Among the various points of reinforcement, left-back is recognised as one position. A number of candidates have been floated, including Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez and Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez, but no moves of any kind have been made at the moment.

According to Rousing The Kop, the Merseyside club have listed Milos Kerkez and Wolves defender Rayan Aït-Nouri, but understand that Fulham’s US defender Antony Robinson’s ability is the closest to an immediate impact.

The defender, who will turn 28 this August, has become an integral part of Fulham, making over 150 appearances. In addition to his tenacious defensive response, he is also a threat in front of the opposition goal due to his active participation in attack, energising the left flank.

He has also pitched for the US national team in 50 games and has proven his ability in the Premier League. He has made a name for himself as one of the top defenders in the world and should be able to play at Anfield.

However, age is a concern. The Greek defender will soon be 29 years old and will not be rejuvenated. It seems unlikely that Liverpool will make a serious move for the Fulham defender as they search for a long-term successor.

Who will the Reds bring in at left-back, one of their key reinforcements…?
