Negotiations continue with Southampton... Liverpool begin talks to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre Transfers

After bringing in Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool has been moving around in the transfer market this summer in an effort to further strengthen its midfield corps following the transfers of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia.

They have presented two offers to Southampton for their main target, Belgian midfielder Romeo Lavia, but have been unable to receive a favorable response.

The club is said to be reluctant to pay the £50 million they are demanding, so all eyes will be on the negotiations in the future.

According to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, negotiations with Southampton are continuing, and the 19-year-old midfielder has stated that he would like to move on.

Meanwhile, they are also keen on another player and are considering acquiring Brazilian midfielder Andre from Fluminense.

“Dialogue open between Southampton and Liverpool over Romeo Lavia. He wants the move but compromise still needed over the fee. LFC working on other options. They are in talks with Fluminense for Andre. Clear the club are looking at two profiles: controller, progressive destroyer.”

The 22-year-old midfielder, who is gaining recognition in Brazil, is a player who plays one row ahead of Lavia and has a different style of play.

While the Belgian midfielder is blessed with a good physique and is not afraid to get hit, Andre is the one who wins the ball with his competitive and fierce defense, which is typical of the South American player.

Rather than taking charge alone at the bottom of the midfield, he has the image of one of the two bolankees, which is another difference between him and the Southampton midfielder.

His lack of European experience is an unknown factor, but if the transfer fee is not prohibitive, he and Lavia would make an interesting double acquisition.

What kind of midfield lineup will Liverpool have for the new season?
