Everything can happen... Wataru Endo joins the club, but Jurgen Klopp suggests further reinforcements Transfers

Liverpool had a messy week in the acquisition of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. As a result, both players opted to move to Chelsea, missing out on the 19-year-old midfielder they had been chasing for weeks. However, they recovered quickly from that and welcomed Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo to the team from Stuttgart.

Liverpool is also interested in Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucouré and Bayern midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, but Jurgen Klopp said that anything can happen in the transfer market and suggested that the team could move to secure a new force.

“The window is open, and until then pretty much everything can happen,”

“On the outgoing side, from my side nothing will happen but in this window, I learned a lot of things, so we will see that. Incomings, there is still time, so let’s have a look and that’s what we will do.”

The captain of the Japanese national team can be entrusted with the bottom of the midfield, but at 30 years old, he is approaching the age of physical decline.

The team continues to search for a younger, more defensively-minded midfielder who can operate as an anchor in the long term, and considering the number of midfielders, the team would like to secure at least one more.

Liverpool’s current situation, where they are being asked to pay a high transfer fee for a player who is not up to par with their valuation, is not favorable to them.

With Jorg Schmatke under contract only for this summer, will he be able to use his negotiating skills to land the player that Klopp and his scouting team want to bring in?
