Robertson and Tsimikas out... Liverpool looking to Antonee Robinson to solve left-back problem Transfers

He injured his shoulder in a match against Scotland and was forced to undergo surgery, which will keep him out for nearly three months until early next year.

Kostas Tsimikas, who had been left in his absence, also suffered a broken collarbone and is out for an extended period of time. The team is shorthanded at left back, with Joe Gomez, whose primary position is center back, covering for him.

Young players such as Callum Scanlon and Luke Chambers are waiting in the wings, but they are still inexperienced. Gomez is also used as a backup at right back and center back, and the club may look to acquire a left back to ease the burden on the former Charlton defender.

According to Graeme Bailey from 90min, Liverpool is also interested in Fulham’s U.S. defender Antonee Robinson to solve the sideback problem.

The defender, who remains under contract until June 2028, has been a mainstay this season, making 21 appearances so far, assisting on four goals, and has pitched in 39 games for the US national team.

Despite occasional light defensive lapses, he has excellent technique with his feet and is actively involved in the attack.

He may not be able to compete with Andy Robertson, but he could be a good reserve left back.

Will Liverpool be acquiring a new player from Fulham?
