The club has succeeded in drastically revamping its midfield, and Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Quadio Koné, then a member of the France U-21 national team, was rumored throughout the transfer market last summer to be a potential new player.
Now that speculation has died down, and midfield reinforcements are no longer a priority for Liverpool.
Fabrizio Romano, an Italian journalist, shared progress on the player’s departure and reported that although he will not be moving this winter, interest has been received from clubs in various countries.
