For Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool is offering a contract that exceeds Salah and Van Dijk Transfers

Liverpool is working to extend the contracts of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk, and has now decided which of the three will be offered the “most lucrative contract.”

Salah is currently Liverpool’s highest earning player, having signed the most expensive contract in the club’s history in 2022, thanks to his brilliant performance for the club since his move from Roma in 2017.

Salah’s current contract expires at the end of next season, but Liverpool, who have rejected an enthusiastic approach from the Saudi Arabian professional league, are not ready to lose their best goal scorer ever.

In that sense, Liverpool is hoping the player will sign a new contract at Anfield.

However, according to Football Insider, Liverpool has a better offer in mind when they renew Alexander-Arnold’s contract until 2025.

In addition, the England defender claims that he would receive the “biggest” and “longest” contract compared to Salah and Van Dijk. Considering that the side-back is currently paid around £180,000 per week, his salary is a significant increase.

Incidentally, Salah is estimated to earn about £350,000 a week from Liverpool, but it is not certain if the club is willing to reduce his salary in his next contract.

Liverpool’s reason for offering Alexander-Arnold a better contract than the other two players is probably age-related. He is 25 and still has a few years left in his prime. Besides, he’s also been entrusted with the vice-captaincy.

Liverpool has a vision for the future, building a new team with local players, and they may make a big play for the player who could be the centerpiece of it.
