Keeps you pushing to want to be in the team...Jarell Quansah talks about his mindset in the top team Hot Prospect

Jarell Quansah has been performing well since preseason, before the season began. The young center back has been steadily improving and is now an integral part of the team.

After missing out on first-team action last season, he spent the period from January to May 2023 on loan at Bristol Rovers, where he played 15 games, gaining valuable experience and mental development.

The England U-21 defender, who is starting in the Premier League, one of the best leagues in the world, has revealed his mindset to continue playing for the mega club, and he is determined to never be complacent and to keep growing.

“I’m not sitting here saying I’m going to be around the squad forever, but when you go away on loan you’ve got to learn things,”

“You’ve got to take it all in and try to get better because when your opportunity comes here it is never over.”

“You’ve got to keep going, you’ve got to keep building and you can never get complacent here.”

“That’s a big thing I’ve learnt – you can play well for 10, 20 or 50 games, but as soon as you take your foot off the gas it will catch up with you real quick.”

“So I think knowing that in the back of your head always keeps you on your toes, keeps you grounded and keeps you pushing to want to be in the team.”
