Liverpool leads multiple clubs in battle for Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier Transfers

Maximilian Beier, who plays for Hoffenheim, is making his presence felt at the German club, having been promoted to the first team in the summer of 2020. After a less than stellar debut season, he spent two years on loan at Hannover 96. He returned to the club before the current season.

Since his return, the 21-year-old striker has been on the rise. In 24 Bundesliga appearances this season, he has scored 12 goals and provided five assists. His impressive performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Liverpool, Brentford, Brighton, and Nottingham Forest.

According to SportBILD, Liverpool is leading the other clubs in the battle for the player’s contract. New managerial candidate Xabi Alonso is also keeping an eye on the young forward, who continues to show remarkable success.

For Liverpool, there is little need against strikers who often play as center forwards. In terms of attackers, a right winger to replace Egyptian international Mohamed Salah is the top priority, a position that can also be covered by Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo is not a point of reinforcement.

However, Beier, who may be the future of the German national team, has been frequently linked with Liverpool. He has scored two goals in five games for the German U-21 national team, and his speed on the counter-attack and decisiveness in front of goal are appealing.

Will Liverpool be looking to further strengthen their forward lineup by acquiring the young talent from Hoffenheim?
