Liverpool's first offer of €9m to Feyenoord to bring in Arne Slot was turned down Transfers

Jurgen Klopp’s successor will soon be officially announced.Liverpool had made a €9 million offer to the Dutch club for Feyenoord’s Arne Slott call-up, but their initial approach was rejected.

Nevertheless, Liverpool continued negotiations. Finally, the two clubs reached an agreement on compensation.

According to the The Athletic, an agreement was reached for €13-15 million from Dutch sources and around €11 million from sources close to Liverpool.

A minimum of €11 million and a maximum of €15 million will be paid.The 45-year-old manager has already expressed his desire to work at Anfield, and unless there is a significant gap in the terms of his contract, a new Liverpool manager is expected to be announced shortly.

Once Slott is appointed as manager, the reinforcement plan for next season will become more concrete. The summer will be a time of focus on what players will leave the team and what players will join Liverpool, including sorting out the current squad.
