Liverpool and Atletico Madrid interested...West Ham close to signing 19-year-old forward Wesley Gassova Transfers

Egyptian international Mohamed Salah has been the subject of continued interest from Saudi Arabia since last summer.

The departure of Colombian international Luis Diaz, who has attracted interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Uruguayan international Darwin Nunez, has attracted attention after he deleted a Liverpool-related photo on his social network.

The forward line could be revamped at Liverpool as manager Jurgen Klopp leaves the team and transitions to a new regime. Such a club is interested in attackers, including wingers and centre forwards, and various names have emerged.

Liverpool are also said to be keeping an eye on Corinthians’ 19-year-old forward Wesley Gassova, while West Ham United, also in the Premier League, have started talks over a move, according to the Evening Standard.

The teenager, who is also being eyed by Atletico Madrid and Real Betis, can play on the left or right wing and is known for his crisp dribbling. He has already made 61 first-team appearances for Corinthians and is gaining a growing reputation in Brazil.

He should be acquired on the basis of potential rather than as an immediate acquisition, but Liverpool have a talented young attacker in their ranks. The likes of Jayden Danns and Ben Doak have first-team experience and will be looking to take it a step further.

At the moment, it seems unlikely that they would embark on a deal for a player who is unsure of his ability to adapt to English football and has no experience in Europe’s top leagues, but what do you think?
