The departure of Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is in the air, while third-choice goalkeeper Adrian has turned down a contract extension offer from Liverpool and is close to returning to Spain.
Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker remains steadfast, but the possibility of a reshuffle in the goalkeeping ranks is becoming increasingly likely.
Various keepers have emerged as candidates, including Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Paterson, who has played for Liverpool in the Championship, and Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow, an old friend of new manager Arne Slot.
One such player is 26-year-old goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio, who plays for AC Monza. Liverpool had approached the player, who made an impact in Serie A last season, and had held discussions, his agent Carlo Belloni revealed.

The player wanted to move within Italy and eventually joined Juventus on a loan transfer with an obligation to buy. He is expected to replace Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, who has been rumoured to be leaving the club due to his age.
Depending on the future of the Irish goalkeeper, Liverpool will need someone to fill in at the back, and 22-year-old Czech goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros will be given a chance, but his lack of top-flight experience may make him reluctant to be given a second-choice role right away.
