€40m necessary...Liverpool interested in signing German international Maximilian Bayer Transfers

Liverpool are targeting new attackers in this summer’s transfer market, as a successor to Egyptian international Mohamed Salah and as a forward to replace Colombian international Luis Diaz, who is constantly being linked with a move away.

A huge variety of players have been linked with Liverpool, including Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, Wolves winger Pedro Neto, Galatasaray winger Barış Alper Yılmaz, and Japan midfielder Takefusa Kubo, making it difficult to get to the bottom of the situation.

According to Tutto Juve, Liverpool are interested in German international Maximilian Bayer from Hoffenheim and are considering joining Manchester United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid in the race.

It is also reported that Hoffenheim will demand at least €40 million for the player’s departure, although both the Italian and Spanish clubs are believed to be preparing offers of between €25 million and €30 million.

The tall striker, who mainly plays at centre-forward, had a superb season last season, including 16 goals and three assists in 35 games, and was instrumental in the club’s seventh-place finish in the Bundesliga. In recognition of his performance, he made his debut for the German national team in June 2024.

His career itself has improved with a loan move to Hannover in the 2022/23 season, where he gained first-team experience. His accuracy in front of goal has also increased over the years, and the young German forward’s reputation is growing.

Will the 21-year-old striker ever come to Anfield as a scorer to replace the goalscoring Egyptian King…?
