Liverpool had been on the lookout for a new left-back since last season and, while listing various defenders, they were also interested in Ecuadorian defender Willian Pacho, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Although there have been fewer media reports linking him with Liverpool in recent times, things have taken a turn for the worse.
Paris Saint-Germain, who are also looking to acquire Manchester City FW Julian Alvarez, are closing in on the player, according to German Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg.
