Egypt’s Mohamed Salah is now 32 years old, and it has become difficult for him to play like he did in his prime. However, he remains an ace in the hole, and last season he impressed more as a chance-maker than a decisive scorer in front of goal.
The search for his successor is ongoing, however. Colombian international Luis Diaz is also said to be of interest to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, and Liverpool have been listing new attackers in the transfer market this summer.
One of them is reportedly German international Maximilian Beier, who plays for Hoffenheim, and the 21-year-old striker showed a high scoring rate last season, scoring 16 goals in 35 games. He also made his debut for his country’s full national team and quickly gained a reputation.
Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg referred to the race for the player and revealed that Liverpool had recently held negotiations. Meanwhile, the young German international has opted to stay in the Bundesliga and has chosen Borussia Dortmund as his new home, according to the report.
