Although Liverpool have failed to secure a defensive midfielder and have not been able to acquire the attacker or centre-back they had initially envisaged, they are working on reinforcements for the future.
The target is Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamaldashvili, who also played a major role for Georgia at EURO 2024.
He performed exceptionally well in La Liga last season and strong clubs were interested. Liverpool have reached a personal agreement with the 23-year-old goalkeeper, and although a loan move of up to two years awaits him in the future, the player wants to go to Anfield, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Giorgi Mamardashvili. He’s keen on the move even spending one or two years elsewhere on loan.”
“Bournemouth open to signing him, then he’d become Liverpool new GK after Alisson.”
“Agents now in Valencia for club talks. NO agreement yet.”

Liverpool are believed to be willing to pay the Spanish club’s demanded transfer fee of around €30 million, but the amount is under intense negotiations.
Richard Hughes is reportedly in talks to lower the price, but it is likely that they will eventually settle on paying the asking price.
Will Liverpool be able to land their first reinforcement of the summer…?
