Belgium international Johan Bakayoko and Portugal international Pedro Neto, who moved to Chelsea, have emerged as targets, while some media outlets have reported an interest in Brazilian international Rodrygo, who plays for Real Madrid, although it lacks credibility.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool have not lost interest in the 23-year-old winger and intend to go all out for him when the opportunity arises.
The Brazilian forward, who is under contract with the Spanish capital club until June 2028, has scored 54 goals and provided 41 assists in 216 games for Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. He has also scored six goals in 27 games for his country’s full national team.
Real Madrid welcomed France international Kylian Mbape and 18-year-old Brazilian international Endrick to the club this summer. Competition in attack is fierce, with 24-year-old forward Vinicius Junior, also from Brazil, and Turkish international Arda Güler also in the squad.
The young winger made 51 appearances last season, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to pitch in a similar number of games in the new season. The fewer starts he makes, the more likely he may be to leave his current club.
According to the paper, the high-scoring forward has been chased by Liverpool for years, but will he one day have a future playing at Anfield…?
